How to test software?

Software applications are classified into three types: web, mobile, and desktop applications.

You can test software applications in two ways:

• Automation testing: Automated testing is a type of software testing method to test software applications by automating repetitive test cases. It uses test automation frameworks to reduce manual efforts and maximize quality.

Every application has unique features or specifications to solve real-world problems. Testing those applications lets you ensure it is reliable and meets end-user requirements.

Shown below are the steps involved in testing a software application.

• Prepare a test plan based on the application requirements.
• Create test cases from the end-users perspective.
• Automate and run the test case scenarios to check if everything works as per end-user specifications.

However, it is recommended to test your application in real-user conditions to ensure they work fine in the real world.
