What is BDD testing?

Behavior Driven Development, or BDD, is a software development approach to write test cases in plain English. It helps teams with zero tech expertise to understand what is going on in the project, which closes the gap between business and technical folks.

BDD approach is easier to understand and has low technicality. The main benefit of behavior-driven development is that it is derived from test-driven development, which supports automated testing with various test data and minimal code intervention.

Behavior Driven Development is implemented using the Cucumber framework to automate test cases in a well-organized and readable manner. Cucumber feature files are written in Gherkin language that ends with .feature extension.
