What is an iOS app?

An iOS app is a piece of software created specifically for Apple's iOS platform, which powers iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. The App Store, Apple's official app store, is where iOS apps may be downloaded and set up.

The iOS Software Development Kit (SDK) and Swift or Objective-C programming languages are used to create iOS apps. A collection of tools and frameworks, like the Xcode development environment, the Cocoa Touch framework for creating user interfaces, and the Foundation framework for working with data and networking, are included with the SDK.

There are many different uses for iOS apps, including gaming, social networking, productivity, entertainment, and more.
