October is here! And so is Hacktoberfest! An annual celebration of open source projects, Hacktoberfest invites developers to submit or contribute to open source in a variety of ways. 🚀

What is Hacktoberfest?

Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open-source projects, their maintainers, and the entire community of contributors. It’s a time to contribute to open source, improve your skills, and build greater technology in the process.

What’s new this year?

Contributing to open source isn’t just for technical folks who want to write code. There are many opportunities to use your professional skills to support open-source projects. This year, Hacktoberfest is trying to encourage contributions that require some technical experience or none. No matter your experience, you can participate in Hacktoberfest!

Here are some ways you can contribute to open source projects:

WRITING Technical Documentation. Translating and Copy editing.
DESIGN Testing. User experience testing, graphic design, and video production.
ADVOCACY Talks, Presentation, Technical blogs, Podcasts, Case Studies. Social media, Blog posts.

New to open source?

Hacktoberfest is a great place to start dipping your toes into open source contributions for the first time. There are several streams, essays, tips, and discussions on getting started. You’ll be joining many other people who are beginning their trip this month!

Contributing to LambdaTest

At LambdaTest, we genuinely believe there is a lot of innovation our open source and testing community can drive.

Contributing to LambdaTest

Test execution might become the slowest component in the toolchain, cluttering your DevOps workflow. Regardless of shift-left, we must accelerate Unit, Integration, API, and E2E testing. It is no longer just about automation. In DevOps, the testing landscape has gotten much more complicated. We require security, scalability, and dependability without sacrificing quality.

That is where we believe our testing community needs to innovate faster. ⚡️🚀

In case you’d like to contribute in another way, feel free to let us know, and we’d be happy to assist you in this process.
